Homes for Sale in Edgemoor

Although Bellingham is home to many beautiful neighborhoods, few hold a flame to the highly desired Edgemoor. I spent some of my early life living in Edgemoor. Located in the southern portion of the city, just past Fairhaven is in an ideal location for people looking for a serene and beautiful environment to call home because of its breathtaking views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands.

Edgemoor's architecture is one of its most distinguishing qualities. Beautiful homes in the neighborhood, which range in design from traditional Cape Cod to contemporary Craftsman and mid-century, are well-known. Large, old trees that line the roadways & established landscaping add to the area's general beauty and foster a calm, quiet mood. It is truly the most pleasant neighborhood for people who enjoy daily walks.

In the center of Edgemoor is a private swimming club called Bayside Swimming Club. This hidden gem is tucked away in a gorgeous natural setting with views of Bellingham Bay's sparkling waters and thick trees all around. This is where I learned to swim and have fond memories at Bayside. It is a great place to meet new friends and neighbors. Families and swimmers of all ages frequent the pool, which features a variety of attractions like a diving board, a water slide, and a hot tub. In addition, the club conducts numerous events all summer long, such as BBQs by the pool and family movie evenings. Limited membership makes Bayside Pool an elite and highly sought-after location for those fortunate enough to gain a space. Overall, Bayside Pool is a wonderful oasis in the middle of Edgemoor, offering an enjoyable and tranquil space for members to swim and socialize. Click Here for more info.

Edgemoor locals have quick access to a range of outdoor recreation options. The Fairhaven Park, which has more than 100 acres of green space, hiking and bike paths, and a playground for youngsters, is close to the area. Moreover, Larrabee State Park, which is a short drive from Edgemoor and is a well-liked spot for hiking, fishing, and camping, offers breathtaking views of the bay and the nearby islands. One of my favorite places in all of Bellingham is located in Edgemoor. It's called Clarks point, a hidden gem with public access and a very short walk down a well groomed trail. Click Here for directions.

Downtown Fairhaven is easily accessible for those looking for a more urban setting. A flourishing arts and culture scene can be found in the city center along with a diverse selection of eateries, cafes, pubs, and retail establishments. In downtown Bellingham, every Saturday from April to December, the farmers' market is a must-visit for anybody looking for handcrafted goods and fresh, regionally sourced food.

Edgemoor is a desirable area for families because of its reputation for having top-notch schools. Several private and charter schools exist nearby, in addition to public Lowell Elementary, Fairhaven Middle School, and Sehome High School.

Overall, Edgemoor is a highly sought-after community that provides a distinctive fusion of urban conveniences, natural beauty, and top-notch schools. It is a top option for people looking for a serene and attractive spot to call home in the Pacific Northwest due to its beautiful architecture, stunning vistas, and easy access to recreation.
